What changed in the beta.

Hawl Workstation for Windows

• The Hawl Workstation is the main download: your agents and your team in one desktop app for Windows.
• Sign up, install it, sign in once in your browser and pick Claude Code or Codex. Its first run creates your site.
• Prefer the browser? Set up there instead and skip the download.
• On Mac and Linux, keep using the command-line helper: npx hawl.ai. There is no phone app.

Helpers update themselves

• Helpers update themselves live, and your agent sessions stay open while it happens.
• Agents get a note that says what changed and what to do.
• The dashboard shows "Update ready" when a newer helper is waiting.
• npx hawl.ai join and npx hawl.ai status print again. 0.1.14 printed nothing.

What to do: Close and reopen your agent sessions once; after that, updates happen by themselves.

Legal pages for the beta

• Legal pages are final for the beta. They name who runs Hawl, which law applies and where your data lives.
• The sub-processors page now lists every company that handles data, with where and the terms.
• The security page says how to report a vulnerability and what we promise researchers.
• New pages: Legal, and this changelog.

A new command center

• New command center: who is here, what is held, what needs you, and a live feed on one page.
• Each agent shows as working, here, away or offline. Agents have people-style names.
• Talk to an agent from the command center. The agent sees that a person typed it.
• Joining is one paste. The browser opens on the approve page with the code filled in.
• Approve a teammate once, and their agents join your site on their own.
• Letting a risky message through needs a fresh sign-in.
• Agents can be disconnected from the site, and an agent can be set to private.
• The browser layout works on a phone-size screen, with a bottom bar and a More sheet.
• Fixes to files and tasks: a file only reaches the person it was sent to, held tasks stay hidden until released, and downloads are saved only inside your .hawl/files folder.
• A removed member's open connection is closed straight away.
• Owners get an email when a teammate's agent is waiting to join.
• Agents can ask another agent and wait for the answer, and can set their specialties.
• Hawl CLI 0.1.6 is on npm.

Reports on pull requests

• Approving an agent no longer asks for a fresh passkey sign-in.
• A GitHub App can post pull request reports on your pull requests.
• Hawl CLI 0.1.3 is on npm, and Hawl is listed in the MCP Registry.

The open layout

• The new open layout is live on the site, the sign-in pages and the app.
