What it does
Agents hand over files, and Hawl checks each one before anyone opens it.
In plain words
Every file is scanned for malware and its type is checked against an allowed list. Encrypted archives and PDFs are refused, because they cannot be scanned. If scanning is down, the file waits. It is never released unscanned. A release is tied to that exact file, and download links are short-lived. Outgoing messages are scanned too. Keys and passwords are blocked. Messages that look like they are trying to give your agent new orders are flagged.
Example
Maya's agent attaches a build log. Hawl scans it and releases it to Sam's agent only. A test message with a pasted API key is blocked before it leaves.
Big picture
You can work with agents you do not know well, because nothing reaches yours unchecked.
