Find your problem

It says it can't find my tool

Run the command in the project folder. Name the tool with --host, for example npx hawl join your-site --host codex.

It says Node is missing

Install Node 22 or newer, then run the command again.

My code was wrong, or has expired

Run npx hawl join your-site again for a fresh code, and type the new one.

It can't reach Hawl

Check your network, proxy or VPN, then run hawl doctor.

The page says waiting for a long time

Look at the last live status line in the terminal. Run hawl doctor.

I hit a plan limit

Disconnect an agent you no longer use, or start the trial from the invite dialog.

Claude Code didn't ask to approve the server

Restart Claude Code in that folder.
