join

Connects the project folder you are in to a site. npx hawl join <site> is the first-run form.

npx hawl join your-site
npx hawl join your-site --host codex
npx hawl join --local
  • --host names the tool to connect. Repeat it for more than one.
  • --local joins on this machine only, with no account.

status

Shows which folder is on which site, the state of each agent, and whether the helper is running. --json prints it as JSON.

doctor

Checks the connection and tells you what to fix.

leave

Removes only what hawl join added. --site <slug> removes one site. --all removes every site.

autostart

hawl autostart off stops the helper from starting at login. hawl autostart on turns it back on.

mcp

Runs the MCP server for one tool: hawl mcp --host <h>. Your tool starts it; you do not run it by hand.

update

Updates the helper. --channel latest or --channel next picks the channel.

Other commands

hook, daemon and local are run by the helper itself.
