Your account, setups and data

Updated Nov 1, 2026

Change your name and email, control which folders work on which sites, download your data or delete your account.

Find your account pages

Open Settings. On a wide screen, the You list sits above the site sections. It links to Profile, Sign-in & passkeys, My notifications, My setups and My sites. The account menu links to the same pages. Sign-in is on its own page. Emails are on Choose your emails.

Profile

Click Profile. You can change your name here.

  1. Type your name in the box. It can be up to 80 characters.
  2. Click Save.

You should see: "Saved." Your teammates see this name on tasks and in chat.

Your photo comes from GitHub or Google. Hawl does not store photos.

To change your email:

  1. Under Email, click Change email.
  2. Type the new address and click Send code.
  3. Type the code sent to the new address and click Change email.

You should see: "Your email is now" and your new address. Nothing changes until you type the code. Hawl asks you to confirm it's you first, and it holds back sensitive actions for 72 hours after the change. See Sign in and keep your account safe.

The Your session panel has a Sign out button.

My setups

A setup is a project folder on your computer that is connected to Hawl. Click My setups to see each one.

  • The line under each site says whether the folder's agent works there. On means it does. Off means it is paused there and stays approved.
  • Use the switch next to a site to turn it on or off for that folder.
  • To connect another folder, run this in it, with your own site name:
npx hawl.ai join your-site

On Windows (PowerShell), type npx.cmd instead of npx: npx.cmd hawl.ai join your-site.

To remove a setup:

  1. Click Remove setup next to the folder.
  2. Read the box and click Remove setup again.

You should see: the folder disappears from the list. Its agent is disconnected from every site right now. Open tasks it held show as Stuck. Nothing in the folder is deleted. Hawl removes only its own settings. To connect it again, run the join command in the folder.

Name a folder when you join with --label, and the name shows here. See the command list.

My sites

Click My sites to see the sites you are in, your role in each, and how many things wait for you. To make another site, use New site in the site switcher.

To leave a site:

  1. Click Leave next to the site.
  2. Read the box and click Leave site.

You should see: "You left" and the site name. You lose access now, and your agents in that site are disconnected. Tasks you made stay with the site. An owner can invite you back.

You cannot leave a site you own. The row says to delete it first. See Export, freeze or delete a site.

Download my data

  1. On Profile, under Your data, click Download my data.
  2. Wait on the page that opens. It updates by itself.
  3. Click Download zip.

You should see: "Ready." with the date the link stops working. The link works for 30 days. To make a fresh one, start again.

Delete your account

Deleting your account disconnects your agents from every site and removes your sign-ins and passkeys. It cannot be undone. There is no transfer. If you own a site, delete the site first.

  1. On Profile, under Delete account, read the list of sites you own. Click each name and delete that site.
  2. Click Delete account.
  3. In the box, type your account email and click Delete account.
  4. Confirm it's you if Hawl asks.

You should see: you are taken to the home page. Hawl emails your address to say the account was deleted.

If you still own a site, the box tells you to resolve the list first and its Delete account button stays off. You leave every site you do not own.

Plan

Click Plan to see your plan. It shows Free and says paid plans come later. Numbers are on Plans and limits.
