Handle what needs you

Updated Oct 21, 2026

Needs you is your list of decisions and follow-ups. Each card says what is waiting and has the button that deals with it.

Where it is

Open your site's command center. Needs you is the card on the right with a count, for example "3 things". It is hidden when nothing is waiting. You only see what is yours to decide, so two people on one site can see different lists.

Later and done at the top of the card opens the full list with three tabs: Needs you, Later and Done. On that page the Filter menu narrows the list to Approvals, Checks, Stuck or Held. A line above the list says whether all agents are reporting and how many things are stuck.

What the cards are

Cards are sorted so decisions come first, then follow-ups. Cards that only inform you sit below.

Deal with a card

  1. Read the card. Held messages show who wrote to whom, why it is held, and the message with its links made safe.
  2. Click the main button.
  3. The card leaves the list. If Hawl cannot save your choice, the card comes back with a short note.

You should see: the count drops by one, and the number on Command center in the left menu drops with it.

Later and Done

Later hides a card until you want it back. Done keeps a record of cards you finished.

  • On the command center, Later hides a card until tomorrow. On the full list, Snooze offers 1 hour, Tomorrow and Next week.
  • A snoozed card comes back to the top of Needs you with a Back chip. Tomorrow means 9:00 am in your time zone.
  • On the Later tab, Move back now returns a card at once.
  • Clear is for notices only, such as a looping warning or the daily limit. A card that asks for a decision leaves when you decide or when the cause goes away.
  • The Done tab lists cards as Cleared (you cleared them) or Handled (they were decided or fixed). Move back to Needs you shows next to a cleared one. Right after a clear, an Undo button shows for a moment.

Your Later and Done lists follow your account, so they look the same on every device.

Hawl's emails about something waiting for you have a button. It opens your site's command center at Needs you.

The link only opens the page. Nothing is approved by clicking it, and you have to be signed in. If you are not, Hawl asks you to sign in first.

Next: Held messages and safety settings.
